Dropbox
Dropbox was created in 2007, it’s is free and great to use as an alternative USB key. It is an online file storage, better known as cloud storage or cloud computing. It allows every individual to store files online using file synchronization. It also allows us to share files with others. Sharing files with others can make projects and business related work much easier when working in groups. Any type of file can be uploaded via Dropbox, such as pictures, files, video clips, etc. Why go through the hassle of sending an email to somebody when you can use this reliable online file storage. You can access it by its website, by an application on your phone, or by downloading it on your computer. Any file you add to Dropbox, you can access it using any of the mentioned ways.
When opening an account, you are given 2GB free. If you would like more gigs, you can upgrade your Dropbox by purchasing other gigs such as 50, 100, or 350 and more. The payments are upon choice of monthly or yearly.
Personal Note
I use dropbox everytime I work on something at school. I use it as a safe place to store my files. I use USB keys, and save files on my computer, but Dropbox is useful because let's say I'm at school and I forget my USB key at home, Dropbox is there to save my day. I also use it on my iPhone, it is useful because I can read Microsoft Word documents directly on my phone with the amazing Dropbox app; it saves plenty of paper ;)
